Guided town walk – public tours

Join an atmospheric guided town walk through Ribe in the summer of 2026, and experience Denmark’s oldest town through stories about Vikings, merchants, kings and the role of the church through the centuries. From 3 July to 31 August, the experienced Ribe Guides will lead you through the cobbled streets, where history meets the present and the town’s cultural heritage comes to life.

When no church services or ceremonies are taking place, the guided walk also includes a visit to Ribe Cathedral, where you will gain insight into the impressive church’s history, architecture and special atmosphere. The tours are conducted in Danish and English as a joint guided tour, and in German as a separate tour. Please choose your preferred language when purchasing your ticket.
