Tales of Fate – Public Tours

As darkness falls over Ribe, the city’s streets and lanes enter a new story. On this evening tour, one of the Ribe Guides takes you back to a time when power, faith and human destinies shaped life in Denmark’s oldest town.

Along the way, you will meet kings and merchants, clergy and ordinary citizens – people whose lives took dramatic and often tragic turns. You will hear authentic stories of betrayal, murder, deceit, poisoning, loss and accidents, all of which took place in Ribe. Real destinies, told where they unfolded, make the evening walk an intense and atmospheric experience where the city’s dark history is brought to life.

Tours are conducted in Danish and English. The desired language is selected when purchasing tickets.
